Óscar Loureda

Óscar Loureda (Professor) holds a PhD in Spanish philology from the Universidad de La Coruña, Spain. He taught at the Universidad de La Coruña from 2001-2008 and received a research grant from the Alexander von Humboldt foundation from 2005 to 2007. Currently, he is professor at the Institute of Translating and Interpreting at Heidelberg University. His research interests lie in the semantics of Spanish, lexicography and general Spanish linguistics. He has conducted numerous studies on Spanish text grammar, text linguistics and text typology. He is head of the reasearch group 'Discourse Particles and Cognition' (DPKog).
